Michael Castanon
Chief Executive Officer
Michael Castanon, Founder and CEO of Care Predictor and the visionary behind Alter Behavioral Health, has been a driving force in mental health services, focusing on evidence-based treatments and scientific advancements. He has a proven track record in developing successful behavioral healthcare businesses and is dedicated to creating innovative methods to improve success rates. His mission is to utilize data and strategies to build a leading mental healthcare platform.
Before entering behavioral healthcare, Michael spent over 20 years in executive roles in the financial sector, where he developed expertise in strategic growth. He applied these skills to assemble a skilled team at Alter Behavioral Health, propelling it to industry leadership.
Michael’s commitment extends to creating mental health resources like BeWellLine, a crisis hotline, and Mindfuli, a virtual platform connecting people to affordable counselors and therapists. BeWellLine has facilitated over 180,000 virtual care encounters in an 18-mo. timeframe. These initiatives have been supported by four CA state grants, for a combined funding of over $11M.

Michael is a seasoned product executive known for driving strategic innovation and delivering impactful results. With a customer-first approach, he excels at building and scaling product models that are inspired by user insights and designed to drive digital transformation and growth. Michael has a proven track record of enhancing customer experiences and leveraging technology to unlock new revenue streams.
His expertise spans product development, business strategy, and technical execution, allowing him to craft solutions that resonate with consumers while optimizing internal operations. As a collaborative C-suite leader, Michael brings agility and cross-functional expertise, driving the adoption of both existing and emerging technologies to fuel growth, improve efficiency, and increase profitability.
Prior to care Predictor Michael worked with a Public Company in the Fintech space developing a personal financial health app primarily owned by The Blackstone Group.
Michael graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Environmental Policy. He continues to advance his education with Certificates from MIT and the Product School.

Manoj Shivji has spent his career growing revenue in high tech software and hardware companies.
Most recently he focused on the data and AI space by helping companies create additional value from data. His time at Dataiku and Tableau helped companies operationalize advanced analytics and a data-first culture.
During his 10 years at Salesforce, he helped grow the Healthcare vertical and was part of the launch of Health Cloud, particularly around modernizing provider care coordination. He has been focused on growing the right teams to execute go-to-market strategies to capture markets in Healthcare, Retail, and Financial Services across all market segments.

Elan has worked at mental health technology startups for the past decade, working across the full commercial lifecycle at product and tech-enabled services businesses.
Before joining Care Predictor, Elan served as a co-founder of Flourish Health, a virtual mental health provider, where he gained invaluable firsthand experience building and scaling a business. There, he spearheaded the company’s growth by establishing a network of referral partners and building the operational architecture to get patients into care. Prior to working at Flourish Health, Elan held a variety of Business Development and Partner Success roles at other digital mental health startups, establishing and growing relationships with health plans, at-risk providers and local governments.
Elan began his career at Monitor Deloitte, doing growth strategy work for healthcare and technology clients.

Dr. Loren Martin, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Martin was the lead data scientist in the development of the Care Predictor. He worked with our team for two years developing the assessment. He recently returned to academic life as the Associate Dean of Research & Professor at Keck Graduate Institute but continues to consult closely with our team.
Dr. Martin’s research will continue to help us support a new artificial intelligence model designed to continuously improve patient care and outcomes by leveraging the intelligence shared between cutting-edge psychological research and customized treatment protocols.

Neha Kumar, LMFT
Director of Clinical Relations
Neha Kumar is the Director of Clinical Relations at Care Predictor. In this role, Neha speaks to the efficacy of the Care Predictor Index in providing insights that help care providers create stronger alliances with their clients, thereby improving clinical outcomes.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Neha has extensive experience across various settings in the mental health field, including schools, community mental health centers and both substance use disorder (SUD) and primary mental health (PMH) rehab facilities. Neha’s work in a variety of professional settings has offered her a deep understanding of the diversity that exists in terms of individual client struggles and needs. Her therapeutic approach focuses on empowering clients to redefine their stories, confront their maladaptive behaviors and achieve overall well-being.
Neha’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration + Marketing from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Neha aims to destigmatize mental health issues by sharing education and insights through her writing. Neha’s written work has been featured in various publications, including CNBC, Healio, PureWow, USA Today, HealthNews.com and Newsweek.
